The House of Flags Museum, Inc. has announced its plans to conduct a region-wide contest to select a logo to help promote the House regionally and beyond.The House of Flags Museum, Inc. Logo Contest
The House of Flags Museum has announced the winner of its recent logo contest. The winning entry was submitted by Wanda Wofford of Landrum, South Carolina. Ms. Wofford was awarded a $250 cash prize and 3X5-foot U.S. Flag of the USA. The cash prize was donated to the House of Flags Museum as a prize for the contest by Burrell's Fuel/ Diamond B Energies of Tryon.
Entries for the contest were judged by a panel selected from the Advisory Committee Members of the House of Flags Museum. They included Ted Owens, Polk County Commissioner, Col. Bob Lair, US Army Ret., Deb Williamson, House of Flags Museum Building Committee member, and Melinda Young, Director, Polk County Travel and Tourism Department. Board member Otis Livingston coordinated the Logo Contest and facilitated the judging of 16 entries from 11 talented people.
Officials of the House of Flags Museum presented Ms. Wofford her prizes at a public ceremony on Veterans Day , Tuesday, 11 November 2008. The House of Flags Museum awards ceremony immediately followed the Veterans Day ceremonial activities.

Hours of Operation
The House of Flags is open at its temporary location on Saturdays from 2-4 p.m (March through November) or by appointment. Donations are accepted.
