Proposed House of Flags museum in Columbus, N.C.

Our future

Second Floor Presentation Classroom, Library & Reading Room, & Conference Room

Looking ahead - the future House of Flags

The ground floor remodeling project was completed in time for our Grand Opening on November 11, 2011. Nearly 300 people were in attendance for the beginning of a new era in our Museum.

The second floor is currently undergoing a complete remodeling too. A wheel chair lift is being installed thanks to a generous grant from the Polk County Community Foundation. Additional funds have been provided by the Foothills Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Duke Energy, Wal-Mart, and a generous grant from the Timken Foundation of Canton (Ohio).

Fundraising continues to finish this 2,500 square foot area. Rooms include a large presentation classroom, library and reading area, conference room, and an archive/storage room.
